As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Pyen Chi officially started work today and boy did this little lady love it!!!  If you can imagine this 40kg girl bouncing around like a jumping bean than you can begin to imagine just how hilarious it was to see her at Hulk's today

With my half marathon being this Sunday, I dug up my old racing bibs from this very same annual event.  I found my racing bib for the 10km I did in both 2008 and 2009.
10km in 2008 = 57.01
10km in 2009 = 57.10

Last year, there were 62 women doing the half.  I managed to shave 19 minutes off my previous half marathon and I came in second place in my age category.  And, get this, the first place woman who beat me was something crazy like 10 seconds faster!!!

It probably was my best race ever!

I felt pressure to pull an impressive time because I had launched my own girls-only fitness club, Flipside Fitness.  This year however, the pressure is more because of us now launching Hulk's Boxing!

This year there are 37 women running the half.  There was originally only two of us foreign females but one dropped out so now we're down to just me representing the foreign females of Cheonan and now I only have 35 competitors.  Last year I had 61 and came in 2nd.  This year I'm aiming to get first.
