As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

We had a solid, solid crew of pure awesomeness show up today for A Day At the Races -- Round Two.
It was so awesome to see that so many of them agreed to wear our Hulk t-shirt.
And of course it was ultra awesome that my Flipside females who were running wore the shirts too!!!
Two shots that were quite significantly important to me today.
For starters, two days ago (perhaps even a day ago actually) there was no way on God's green Earth I would have agreed to a couple shot like this after the crap that hit the fan.
As for this picture on the right, I had just met this man right before my half marathon.  When I congradulated him and wished him well on his full marathon, we started up a conversation.
He's 66 years old, I'm 33 (Korean 33).  He's doing the full marathon, I'm doing the half.
He's twice my age and doing twice my distance... incredible.  I love meeting people like this -- people who redefine age and don't see it as a number marked with limitations.
There were 8 of us in total actually but some had already gone to prepare at the start line.
In our fabulous crew of eight, we had the husband of one of my running buddies and their friend, two of my former teammates from UP Boxing Club, three workers from WOW Motors (one of which was the president), and me.
It was pure cauious at the start line and I knew from that moment on that this half marathon just wasn't going to be as successful as I had planned it to be.  I never did recieve my text message from the racing company, notifying me of my finish time so I'll have to call them tomorrow.
