As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

While the Korean men on the scene (Snickers and K-Gere) tried to figure our how to go about attacking the tile issue in the shower room, I thought I'd try my attempt at attacking making the handheld saw we bought.  It had come in pieces and with only Korean instructions, it proved to be quite the challenge.
I was quick to pose with it for this picture but I by no means wanted to be the first person to use it.  K-Gere and Snickers are due credit for making the most of it... and for being the brave ones to test it out.
Our shower room is still needing a lot of work done on it but today we got the tiling done and now we have actual working lights in this room so that's great.
Despite my head telling me to work, work, work, my body had another agenda and was screaming "hell no woman!"  I had gone all day without coffee which only proved to make me distractive, distructive and totally unproductive in comparison to other work days.
I'm sure flicking on the mellow lights of the club didn't help to kick me into work mode!
Laid down in the middle of our unfinished boxing ring and gazed up at our "Hulk's halo"... I love it.  It's not super bright but it definitely adds some flashiness and grabs attention.

And despite it still super chilly in the club -- you can still see your breath in the evening -- I ended up falling asleep.  Wraped myself up in part of the floor padding that's not yet attached and caught a 20min nap.
