Frustrations on the job...
I'm going ape over these monkey bars. I'm all for supporting the 'little guy' -- the Joe Blow small company-- but I'm not for him continually telling me "tomorrow". "Tomorrow never comes" is what I'm pretty sure James Bond said and I'm really feeling this to be truer than true in this situation. I called him up today and got mad at him on the phone. "Today is the tomorrow you said two months ago!!!" Snickers was so ticked off the other day when he postponed yet again that Snickers drove an hour and a half to talk to him face to face.
If he tells me "tomorrow" one more time, I'm going to show him the "bear" in Bereski [my last name].
Another frustration on the job these days has been trying to order tank tops with our printed design on them. Koreans can come up with a zillion and one things to do with rice, ranging from eat it to bath in it, yet ask a clothing print shop to sell you a printed tank top and suddenly it's like I've asked them to something so far fetch, strange and derange.
There's so much behind-the-scene work that we need to do at work; the work just never ends. And especially now, because we're coming up to the Grand Opening Party and After Party, the work is piling high, extra continues to be added, and many of it has a due date, a very fast-approaching due date -- Sunday, June 2nd.
Another frustration on the job, of which I'm really uncomfortable with, is with a particular member who continually brings her two nieces. She asked if they could join my boxercise class and I said no, I didn't think it appropriate. My classes tend to be filled with a lot of yelling, both with me yelling at my members and members cursing. I suggested making a kids class in the future and then tonight I put the two girls through a weight training workout with medicine balls for free. The lady has been coming for about a week and a half now but every time she comes she brings her two elementary school aged nieces and let's them freely do whatever. The issue isn't that they're here for free, though that may become an issue if she continually thinks I will train them, the issue is that I don't think the gym is a safe place for kids, especially when no one is watching them. They're kids and kids are naturally curious, totally understandable, but already I've had to tell them don't touch this or don't do that. Moreover, this is not a daycare. This is not a very kid-friendly place with medicine balls at kids' head height, dumbbells and kettlebells laying around, and people running around training. Other members have children too but they don't bring them here and I don't think it's fair to let one but not all. Am seriously considering making an age restriction on the membership until a kid's class is made.

Amy, it's so great to see you follow a dream, one that you would never have known if you didn't go explore. Hang in there with the business. I know it's tough, but your tougher! Also, as a mom, & someone who used to visit the gym (baby #2 on the way), an age restriction is a great idea! Keeps kids safe, & let's adults work out the way it should be intended, hard! Best of luck with the grand opening. Love & light.
Most gyms don't have kids come along. I think she's taking advantage....
