As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

This is going to sound perhaps cheesy, but love IS all around.
It's in doing renovations for our dream.
Here's my father-in-law and I playing around in our new Lady Ghini as we head out for a well-deserved lunch after grueling reno work.... he's soooooooo cute, just look at those cheeks!
It's in training members after a long day.
After a long 12hr work day of renovations, the President and his crew showed up for training.  I was tired, dirty, and super hungry -- needing sleep, needing a shower and needing food -- but they're awesome so somehow I managed to stir up some extra energy and help teach them how to double skip and work on their stance.
And it's definitely in my home.
Good thing we have this massive couch because after work all 16 legs of our Kim-Bere family like to cuddle up on it and get cozy.

Love is here, among my "family".
My family is a mix of marriage-ties, blood, sweat-ties, and some of them even have extra legs.
