As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Busy Bee Me... Monday, September 9

By the time noon had come around, I had done the following:

  1. Walked all three doggies (this meant TWO walks)
  2. Had breakfast
  3. Did one load of laundry
  4. Cleaned the house (vacuumed and washed the floors, dishes)
  5. Washed all the bedding and hung it up to dry
  6. Took Gotti to the scooter shop (which also meant walking it there)
  7. Did grocery shopping
  8. Had a coffee date with Snickers
  9. Went to the service center to get a new TV remote (Pyen Chi ate a THIRD one)
  10. Went to Hulk's to take the computer apart
  11. Located a computer repair shop and dropped off our computer

By noon, not only had I done all the above but I was at the Well-Being Food Expo with Snickers and Germany.  I had woken up around 8am today but didn't actually get out of bed till about 8:30am as it took me a good solid pep talk to convince myself out of it.  I am not a morning person if being a morning person means getting up in the morning.  I can see morning but it'd mean staying up to see it.  I'm trying to change my routine around though because I've been waking up way too late to do anything productive before work.

My usual routine goes as follows:

11am -- Wake up, have breakfast and feed the pups

1pm -- Walk the pups and then leave to do errands for Hulk's
errands happen on a daily bases and range from getting fresh groceries for our juice bar or for our own personal meals while working to business meetings at city hall, at WOW Motors, or with suppliers.

2pm -- midnight -- I work at Hulk's.

12am -- Sometimes we meet with members after work, as a means of maintaining a certain "familyship" as Snickers calls it or we have random additional errands to do.  Often Snickers drops me off at home, I go and walk the pups, while Snickers goes and meets up with his friends.

2am -- We're both back at home, lounging either on the couch or in the bed together chatting.

3am -- Bedtime.

I'd like to change this routine though because I want to start running again.  I'm already anticipating the coolness of fall and the chill of winter -- both my favourite two seasons to go running in.  I particularly like running in the winter but I'd like to get in a good run before work.  I just don't wake up with enough time to get breakfast, let it digest and then go running before the other things I have to do before work.  Work errands always take priority so this means I have to get up earlier.  Today I woke up super early but before that first coffee I was very much in zombie mode. Got to get up earlier and drink that caffeine when I lift my head from my pillow.
