As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Overdosing on Hugs, Girls, Boys... and Chicken

While Balboa was on a high from all the excessive hugs and attention he was getting, I was high from being so busy training the steady flow of members.
Our youngest member -- 14 and super, duper, ultra adorable.

An overdose of fun, fierce females is always a great surprise to any day.  It's really motivating to me personally, to not only see so many fellow females but so many Korean females.  Times are definitely changing.
And talk about an overdose of chicken!!!
WOW President surprised us after his training by returning with three large rotisserie chickens.  It was like Swiss Chalet, a taste of Canada, but here in Korea.
So while I trained with the girls all day, it was the guys I ended my work day with -- just me, a handful of Korean male cuties, my sponsor and lots of chicken.

Definitely needed this overdose after having to break the news about China.
