As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Mini-Koreans Pull Through

FINALLY!!!... some healthier snacks have started entering Hulk's doors, I'm sooooooooooo happy!!!
One of my Hulkies returned from a trip to the Philippines and while he was there, he stocked up on some delish snacks for me -- lots of dried mango and even some vitamin gummies.
For our three youngest Hulkies, I made a fitness course for them and they had to do two sets of it.
It consisted of 6 different exercise stations -- hip thrusts, release push-ups, tricep dips, Bulgarian split squats, side planks with shoulder rows, and ball tosses.
Each station exercise and the appointed number of reps were marked by a little sign I had them help me make.  Their Korean spelling was pretty much on par with mine, not correct but understandable.
This sign was for station #2 and they had to do 10 release push-ups.
I'm sure they just think they're playing and not exercising and I'm sure they have no idea how much their so-called "playing" is really giving them such a healthy, positive head start in life.
They absolutely loved my fitness course today and I felt so proud taking pictures of them doing in it.
