As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Always Something Up

After Saturday's failed attempt at a 20km run, I was pushed out the door and told to "get it done".
So that's exactly what I did and then I added an extra half kilometer just because... hahaha.
My running route was pretty basic but it consisted of me going a bit mental with the blahness of going around and around... and around the Dankook lake.  I did about 3 laps before I headed back downtown.  Then I returned, did a few more laps and then ran to Hulk's.
I do think the lake is quite beautiful though and this is my favourite part of it, this path.
On the right of the path you have what looks like downtown creeping up on the rice fields.
And then on the left you have some mountains, of course the university, and then this beautiful lake.
I arrived at Hulk's around 2:30pm, just in time to shower and then train my little gang of girls.
Today one of them brought their younger sister to join us.  They do a lot of relay races and ball exercises but don't kid yourself, these youngings have perfect form when it comes to doing barbell squats!!!
Belford showed up today too and, as one of my members took it upon herself to "investigate", turns out Belford isn't a he.  He is a she!!!
I don't think we'll change HER name though, even if it is a male UFC fighter's name.  The local businesses around all now know this cutie as Belford.
Our former Trainer Thor showed up today too, to say goodbyes though.
He's leaving K-Country and will be staying in the Great White North for a bit.
