As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Fitness Phone Apps I Love

My cell phone screen shot with all my much-used fitness-connected apps I use and abuse...
MapMyRun -- best app ever for running!!! Super user-friendly, love the map feature, and of course I love the listing of my previous runs -- love my lists ;)  Just wish my phone GPS/4G worked better though so that I could track EVERY run I do instead of it going ghetto on me.
8Tracks -- free music with a great simple listing system that makes it easy if I'm running and have to quickly switch the playlist for whatever reason.  Excellent collection of free music playlists!
Both are tracking apps though the Nutritionist isn't a free one but there are many similar free apps that work just as well.  I'm testing this one out because of a PT client.
Water Your Body tracks your daily water intake and sends me hourly reminders and Nutritionist tracks my macro nutrients and food intake.
Pinterest... need I say more.  If there was any better wealth of food for my brain and fitspiration for my body, it'd be impossible.  Love, love, LOVE Pinterest!!!  I've made so many "boards" on it.
Boxing Timer -- a great app for when I'm doing timed circuit training with my Hulkies.  You can adjust the rounds, training time and break time.  I usually ignore the so-called "break time" and just treat it like another round when we're using for my timed circuits.
