As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

What the Heck have I done with ALL these Years?!... Sunday, February 16

Today marked a pretty significant day in my life, particularly my life here in Korea. I anticipated spending it reminiscing over a breakfast cooked by Snickers, in the comfort of our bed. But, on account that I rushed Snickers to emergency late, late last night, I settled for reminiscing about it on my homepage while Snickers sleeps off his meds and what appears to be a pretty bad cold.

Today marked the start of year ten for me here in Korea, a double-digit number that I never imagined I'd ever be experiencing here in Korea or even Canada for that matter.  The plan was always to come to Korea, do my year, then return to get married in Canada and possibly move to Portugal with my fiance.  Well, my fiance is now my ex-fiance and this "one-year-only" country, Korea, is now my home.  Boy does time fly when you're having fun and though I must admit it has been all fun, it's definitely been a learning experience to which I have absolutely no regrets and consider myself blessed, privileged and a bit crazy for having gone through.  Having said this, here is a list I managed to put together, listing some of the major things that happened during each year I've spent here to date.  I'm pretty sure this list doesn't even capture 80% of what has gone done, partly because some I can't talk about (wink, wink) but here's what I remember....

YEAR TEN... and, at this rate, with all the action-packed interesting years I've already experienced here, I am super excited and definitely optimistic about the people, places and experiences I'm going to meet, go, and take on.  It's already been a crazy, super strange and somewhat derranged life -- a life I definitely NEVER imagined -- but I love it.
