As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Eat Clean, Train Hard... and Smile

I cooked up my weekly meals today and it looked like a pretty melody of yummy colours... until I threw in 12 chicken breasts and then it became a mash of deliciousness supreme!!!
I put a dash of sweet and sour sauce in it.  I'm not one for processed food items but will note that I do allow myself one or two a week.  This week it is sweet and sour sauce and 7 grain whole wheat bread.
Headed into Hulk's for some late night training.  Trained alongside the "Sushi Crew" and boy did we make a crazy racket!!!  They yelled to get through there training, I yelled to get through mine, they yelled at me to cheer me on as did I to them.  A couple of local shop owners closing up for the night ended up coming in to see what all the commotion was about... hahaha.
I was caught in a moment here after training, trying to catch my breath before I took my handwraps off.
Picture courtesy of a Hulkie who snapped this of me.
Then when all the yelling was done and the sweet sweat had stopped, the smiles and hugs started.
Here's to another great night of training.
