Today was surely one of those days that was just too perfect in every sense. From the weather being spot-on gorgeous to running into a Hulkie an hour away from Cheonan, the day was incredible. It was one of those days that really made you feel completely silly for complaining about other days because it just totally made up for any less-than-perfect day prior to it.
HELLO ROAD TRIP!!!
I love road trips. I love long car rides and I especially love the "couple culture" we have associated with our road trip journeys -- coffee shop-bought coffees and CDs specifically bought/made for our road trips. Today we went on a road trip.
DESTINATION, THE OCEAN!!!
We were ocean bound today, to one of our favourite hot spots that is about an hour away from Cheonan and so sweet. It's got a boat museum, random cafes, lots of delish seafood restaurants, an overdose of street seafood food carts, a park that always is flooded with people flying kites and bands playing live music, and it even has an amusement park. There really is no beach to this ocean side site we continually come to but I love it and it's come to bare many sentimental meaning and fond memories for Snickers and I. We used to always bring Mi Nam here and our first double date with some friends was here. Mi Nam has since passed on but we always talk about our time here together as do we also talk about what become of the couple we double dated with here -- they got married and we attended their wedding just this past year actually. I once came here with Drama Boy, a close friend, back well before Snickers' time. I've been coming here for about 7-8 years now so the place has become quite significant to me.
Originally we were going to go camping this weekend but plans were changed on account that Snickers is leaving the country on Monday for a business trip. We decided that we both wanted to spend this weekend just the two of us so that's exactly what we did. We spent most of yesterday in lazy mode, sipping on coffee and watching movies in our underwear, and then today we headed out the door, beach bound.
The weather today was absolutely amazing, consequently the ocean side park was packed with people. We spent several hours at the beach and then returned to Cheonan. Snickers had been given money specifically for him to spend towards new clothes for this week's business trip and so we shopping. I don't particularly like shopping, correction, I actually really hate it that is unless it's grocery shopping. I hate shopping for clothes for myself but must note that I really do love shopping for clothes for Snickers. He's such a Korean Ken doll -- he cleans up real fine and looks like a pure gentleman but also looks super sweet in sweats. I picked this white chunky wool sweater for him and it looks so good on him -- I love thick wool sweaters, they have a kind of romance to them. Anyways, after our little business shopping spree thanks to those he's doing the trip for, WOW swung by our house, picked us up and took us out for dinner. We no longer work on Sundays but they still very much remain our Hulk family dinner out night.
