I headed an hour and a half out of Cheonan to go take my Granny Kim to lunch.
She's an 85 year old woman who is a country gal but with her dyed hair and matching pearl necklace and pearl bracelet, she's a dolled up pretty lady.

And though Snickers may now live in the city, smack dab in the heart of downtown actually, the country boy in him always seems to emerge. He ran right into that water.
I'm a country gal turned city but I'm all Snickers' gal.
... that is until I spotted some goats. I love goats!!!
There wasn't a "don't feed the animals" sign nor was there a "do not enter" sign, so jumping the fence to play with these four little goats and feed them hugs wasn't exactly wrong of me to do. I wasn't breaking any rules.
The little black and white goat, definitely breaking some rules here.
And speaking of cuteness, how's this -- a 29 year man who is still very much a 12 year old boy at heart... hahaha.
He was all dressed in his Sunday best and romping around like a kid.
After lunch, the river side play, the goat playing and all the swinging, we finally made our way to Granny Kim's village. We headed over to Grandpa's tomb to pay our respect and to offer him things, like snacks. I didn't have anything really on me so I gave him the last of my coffee. Granny Kim thought it was sweet, and then she cried.

Granny Kim's garden is doing amazing and I'm surely looking forward to eating some of the delish veggies we planted.
Loads of fresh leafy greens, onions, garlic, green onions,
and she's even got several persimmon trees.
This is me pretending to help but not really helping. I was definitely just distracting everyone from working in the garden but work got done.

When it was time to leave Granny Kim's she got all sad for my picture.
She used to live in this country home with her family and then one by one the kids grew up and started their own families. A few years ago the love of her life, her husband, passed away and she struggles with that still as does she struggle with goodbyes in general. Ahhhh Granny Kim, definitely my all time favourite in-law. She just gets me.
When we reached Cheonan, we had had a packed day. K-Gere had come along for the whole road trip so we dropped him off and then headed to a gorgeous new coffee shop.
And up on the balcony overlooking the city, Snickers and I enjoyed some cheat-day treats and each other... and I FINALLY got my cup of coffee for the day.
My man + a cup of coffee + a beautiful sunrise = no need for anything more.
