As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Choice to be a Coach of Many Labels

One of the biggest perks of my job is that I get to be whatever coach I want to be and that means I get to be the affectionate coach with my fellow Hulk coach, the overly sarcastic coach with my Hulkies, the tough coach with many, and the super silly coach with others.

Translation of a text message conversation between one of my Hulkies and me:
ME: [name]... why, why, why,... why these days don't you exercise?! [tears]
HULKIE: I'll come starting next week, haha, These days I work again [tears]
ME: Do you promise me??? [smile] If you break your promise I will kick you in the head, hahaha.
HULKIE: Wow... I'll come... hahaha.
ME: Hahaha [thumbs up]
Here's me being the fun coach with many of my mini Hulkies.  All but two of us in the ring here are students but who says just because I'm older means I have to grow up and stop being silly?!  Exactly.
Can you spot me here?  Here's a hint, check out the far right corner.
I was totally body checked into the ropes, sending me flying to the ring floor.... hahaha.
One of my mini Hulkies recently just got her hair chopped.
Now my "shadow" as some call her, or "gang" as others say, is sporting some super cute bangs.
