As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Nothing Worth Fighting for Comes Without a Fight

This is me, calling out all our Hulkies to come train on this beautiful Saturday evening.
Unfortunately I was the only one who showed up at 6pm so with no Snickers, no WOW, no Kato, and no anyone else, I was forced to rely on my own source of energy to stay focused and stay motivated.
But then one of my Hulkies came.... yahhhhh!!!  This big guy is only 19 but he's twice my size and all fun.  He mimicked me through my training tonight so I challenged him with 10 rounds of sandbag work.
Finally Snickers showed up, after training that is, so while the guys shot pool
I enjoyed a refreshing spinach-infested protein smoothie.
...and it's a good thing I filled up before I left Hulk's!!!
This is why Snickers is NOT allowed to be left alone at the grocery store -- note what's in his basket.
Not sure what's in his basket, well, it's $20 of half-off ice cream.  That's the ONLY thing in his basket because nothing else could fit in it after!!!  And to think, we only went there for crackers.

Self discipline, as defined in my house, is refraining from the overdose of ice cream explosion that's in the freezer and instead only treating myself to one a week.  Now that's hardcore discipline!!!
