As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

An Eight Hour, Multi-City Search for Clothes, Houses... and Coffee

Headed out of town today to stock up on summer training wear.
And ended up hitting up a couple of cities and some pretty thriving factory outlet hot spots!
I was particularly proud of the mannequins, definitely not in sync with what Korea has labelled the "fit female" so I just had to snap a picture of these buff, ab-sporting mannequins.
And what about these shoes?!  Dfinitely NOT Korean size either... hahaha.
OK, so they were part of the display only and not for sale, didn't stop me from trying them on and then walking around like a fool in them... hahaha.
Ended up buying some very bright, in-your-face, new Adidas runners.
My hot pink club runners will now become my outdoor shoes and my outdoor shoes will be laid to rest.
RIP my beautiful red Adidas kicks.  You served me well and earned me some sweet race placements.
Somehow training wear shopping turned into house shopping with us stumbling across these two gorgeous show houses.  These two houses are pretty much the same except for their style concept.  The one on the left, the one Snickers and I favoured, is more traditional in design with hardwood flooring throughout the house and a wood burning stove in the front room.  The one on the right, a modern house with a bar in the front room and sleek white tiles lining the floors.
All our clothes shopping and house shopping made us work up quite the appetite so we feasted on an amazingly delish meat dinner that had all the fixings and side dishes that kept on coming.
Dinner with the men -- Snickers, WOW and Wonder Boy -- was surely a business mixed with pleasure kind of dinner and it evolved into not only dinner out but also a late night coffee too.
I don't drink coffee after 7:30pm but when a men who has invested so much money, time and effort into helping get Hulk's on its feet asks if I can join him for coffee, heck I'll drink the coffee.
