As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Fighting Out of Hulks, Snickers!!!

Arrived at the location of Road FC and you know we just had to get a pic of us inside the cage.
And you know we KNEW Snickers would be getting one of these trophies. He's got skills.
He's also got ants in his pants, apparently... hahaha.

Here's me trying to look fierce, despite wanting to pee every hour on the hour because of nerves.
Snickers started off with just us two, WOW and myself, as his corner fans.

But it wasn't long until we ran into a familiar face and then were introduced to others.
And speaking of introductions, this was Snickers' opponent.  He's a Tae Kwon Do coach.
When the bouts started, I was totally shocked to see some mini Koreans step in the ring.
The only thing mini about them though was there size because boy were those kids fierce!!!
Snickers' turn would be coming up soon so he got geared up and warmed up.
...and then he waited, and waited.
And as I waited, I couldn't help but check out his opponent checking him out.  Yes, that's right.  My husband is going to take on you and take you down, I thought to myself.
And that's exactly what he did.
Winning his debut fight in the first round by TKO, at 3mins and one second, Snickers proudly represented Hulk's and helped to put it, us and Cheonan on the map!!!
