As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Packed Day of Many Places

Checked out a new coffee shop today with a friend.
For the most part, Korea hasn't really caught on to the whole idea of coffee being a much-needed morning thing so it's hard to find coffee shops open earlier than 10am.  This new one opens at 9am, perfect.
Upon walking into this new place, I could already sense it'd be a new favourite coffee shop.
They've got giraffes!!! Super cute giraffes and sweet looking tigers.
With the coffee shop's name being Zoo Coffee the animal theme is definitely exaggerated and played with.
Ended up checking out a new hair shop too today, only by fluke though.
Took the wrong bus home, ended up way across town and then realized I was somewhat by my friend's new hair shop.  Called up Snickers and off we headed together, to both get our hair done.
Worked in my new crossfit class board, thanks to one of my Hulkies who gave it to me as a gift.
And with my somewhat still new Adidas zebra pants, purple top, and new hair cut, I worked up a sweat with some members earlier on in the work day.
One of my Flipside Fitness females came by to say goodbye.  She and her boyfriend are leaving Korea, returning to Canada.  Ultra cool fact here, this cool gal is from the same area in Canada as I am!!!
Ended the busy day with a movie for two and, as the case turned out, a movie that played for only us two!!!
One of the perks of our working hours is that we do things at such irregular and odd hours that we usually don't have to deal with the busy traffic and lone lines others do, and often we don't even have to deal with people.
