As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Day of Live Fights and Good People

The five of us from Hulk's drove three hours down south to catch the live fights.
...and so did so many others apparently.  The attendance was pretty decent.
As for the fights, there were decent fights but one that stole the show was this one.
It was a fight between a monk and an older gentleman.  Hey, I'm all for people doing their thing and breaking down stereotypes so you best believe I cheered for this one!
I got to meet up with my kick-a$$ Busan champion couple before the fight.  We chatted a bit and I got to introduce them to one of my Hulkies.  I felt rather proud to finally be able to introduce them to some of Hulkies because we've been talking so much with them about it and he, the husband, has really been such a mentor not only for our boxing club but for my boxing career.
Today marked the last fight for both fighters; I thought it was just his last fight.
He gave a good fight and all were shown just why he's the champion.
Announcing the new WBA PABA Male Flyweight Champion -- Myung Gu!!!
Next it was Myung Gu's wife turn to step into the ring, Hee Jung.
Both Myung Gu and Hee Jung won their fights.   I had joked the other day with Snickers, saying that I wanted to jump into the ring for a picture when they win.... well, I scored a sweet shot with the champs!!!
After a full day of taking in the live action, it was off to dinner for our Hulk crew.
