As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

And to Think Today is My Day Off. "Day Off of What?!" I ask...

This is how I spent my morning -- out in Asan, running lakeside with Rocket.
Our goal today was to run 20kms but we decided to up it to that of a half marathon -- 21kms.
The last kilometer we both felt ourselves lagging and I think that's what hurt our overall pacing because the last kilometer was our slowest and then I struggled with trying to stop the timer with my overly sweaty fingers.  Regardless, it was a very successful run.
Last week we aimed for 15kms but ran 18.  This week the goal was 20kms but we ran 20.
What will we run next week?!  No pressure.
On our way back to the car, I snapped some pictures of the scenery.
This is one of the paths that leads off of the main path we actually run on.  It's so pretty.
I want to live here, in this abandoned building on the lake.
Think I'm joking?!  I'm not.  I've already inquired about the rent and key deposit.  It's totally doable.
My long run was rewarded with a hearty plate of raw beef bibimbap at Wow's restaurant.
Yes, it was the same meal I ate last night, I know.  It's definitely one of my favourite meals.
When we came out of the restaurant, we were greeted by this four-legged little one on our car.
We stood there for some time petting the little kitty and then we helped it get off our car.
Spent the remainder of the afternoon chillaxin' by the coal heater with the little ones crawling all over me.
Tomorrow marks Pac's second birthday so Snickers and I have something special planned for him.
We had Free Train tonight from 6-8pm but one our long time Hulkies arrived early with a surprise.
He knows I just love the holidays and am already planning how I'm going to deck out Hulk's for Christmas so tonight he surprised me with two large bags full of Christmas decorations he bought in the past but never actually used.  And guess what, I now have a dancing Santa, very cool.
Was impressed by not only the numbers that came out tonight for Free Train on this Saturday evening but also by the intensity each boxer brought to tonight's training.  Having ran my long run in the morning, I wasn't going to box tonight but after seeing who had shown up, there wasn't any way I wasn't going to train tonight.  Best Saturday Free Train!!!
