On a lighter note, and by "lighter" I mean lighter than yesterday's posting...
HULK'S GOT AN OVEN TODAY!!!
Snickers doesn't eat my foodies, and by "foodies" I mean the strange and deranged concoctions I make together with random foods I like. He frowned when I threw blended chicken into the blender and made chicken spinach patties, he insisted he'd never try my oatmeal and chicken breakfast and tonight he seriously doubted my banana cookies as they baked away. So I've got this new oven, had a mad batch of cookies baking away and needed some foodie taste testers. No worries, I've got a club loaded to the brim with hard training Hulkies that are going to be hungry any second now.
Twelve of tonight's Hulkies taste tested my banana cookies tonight and their reactions varied to them varied pretty much as did the dynamics of those tasting them... hahaha.
My cookies lacked a real flavor, I'll admit that. Maybe next time I'll add a little Stevia into the mix. However bland some thought them to be, the fact that they included only health-conscious ingredients was what raised eyebrows and got them a higher ranking than if they were just regular, calorie-high, fat-inducing cookies. The fact that each cookie packed 5 grams of protein impressed them the most.
Ingredients in today's cookies:
banana
old fashion oatmeal
peanut butter
cinnamon
vanilla protein shake
I never did bake cookies thinking they'd be so delicious, it was more so because I thought it'd be fun and it'd be amusing to see my Hulkies taste tasting them. And it was a lot of fun. I told some of them that I'd try again tomorrow so now I have to figure out how to top today's cookies. OK, so maybe that won't be so hard to do but my ingredients are somewhat limited. I could always add in some fruit. I've got a freezer full of frozen fruit -- pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, and mango. The blueberries would be nice. I'm pondering using the pumpkin pie protein shake mix for my next batch too but must admit that I'm getting a bit greedy with trying not to use it in excess. It's super delish with my overnight oatmeal I eat in the morning. I've kind of developed an addiction to it and the fact that the website only sells this once a year for the Halloween holiday is such a teaser.
