As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Oven Fun Time with the Hulkies

Today Hulk's got an oven and I was super excited about it.
It may only be a small oven but it's an oven and it's the first oven I have ever had in Korea!
Do you realize what exactly that above sentence even means?!
It means I haven't had an oven in 10yrs!!!
So, due to my over-the-moon excitement, I used my new oven to bake some cookies for our Hulkies.
I must admit though, the first batch wasn't the best.  It lacked some real flavor so then I topped them off with some club-made peanut butter I made last night at 2am and add some extras.
The reactions varied among our Hulkies.
There were those who snuck seconds and those who didn't really like them at all.
Then there were those who had no idea what it was they were eating.
Others tried to guess what it was in my cookies.
And then there were those who really didn't care what they were eating and whether it was strange and deranged -- it was free food and they were hungry.
