As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Appreciating the Differences and Having Fun with It

There is definitely a lot of diversity here at Hulk's, starting with this picture I took today. Three members from three different countries who speak three different languages.  The things they have in common though is their love for boxing and they all speak Korean... very cool.

Our set of twins that look the same but couldn't be more different than they tried.
For starters, one is a south paw boxer, the other an Orthadox boxer.
And then there is Little Miss Su, a member who absolutely hates getting her monthly InBody done, so much so that she skipped out on training that particular day and I had to message her.  Turns out she had big success this month so ya to her!
My day of work always ends with the biggest diversity of all -- 3 four-legged pups, size extra small, medium, and extra, extra large all wanting to play and then snuggling up with Snickers and I in bed.
Difference is good and here at Hulk's it's proven to be really good.
It definitely makes my job and life way more interesting.
