As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

We Train Hard, Play Hard,.. and Enjoy Treats too

Am so excited, our delivery from Bohemian Findings arrived.
I first saw this company online but then, upon reading up on them, decided to buy from them because I really liked their store's story.  We've exchanged a few emails and they've always been super sweet and super supportive of not only our business but our shared love of dogs.
Click here to read more about them.
At the bottom of the package they sent us, there was a Ziplock bag with some unexpected gifts... very sweet.
Speaking of sweet, one of our very regular, very well known, very sweet Hulkies works at Krispy Kreme down the street.  Yesterday I paid her a visit and then today I decided to cash in on their one plus one event and get two boxes of glazed donuts as a sweet surprise snackie for our Hulkies.
Note that I didn't buy four boxes, I only went for two but most misteriously two extra boxes appeared in my bag as the ever so cute, smiley Krispy Kreme girl handed me my purchase.
We don't promote overdosing sweets at Hulk's, gosh our members are sweet enough, but every once in awhile you have to relax and treat yourself.  Today was that day for our Hulkies.
And while many of our Hulkies indulged in a little sweet tooth craving, two members took it to the ring to give us all some hardcore awesome entertainment.
Both members have never sparred with each other and it was very first time for one of them.  They both took some mean beats and harsh hooks, but it was all done in good spirits.

Props to both these guys.  Way to really up the intensity of your ring.
(And on behalf of Hulk's, I'm sorry you couldn't really use the whole ring because of the whole soggy floor)
48 sugar glazed deep fried donuts, 2 boxers sparring in 1 soggy boxing ring, and 1 girl wearing a massive tuperwear bowl as a hat... stranger things have happened here at Hulk's.
