As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Marvelous Monday... Monday, February 9

Could it possibly be a better Monday?  Ummm, ya maybe if my father walked in the door...hahaha.

Today was freakin' F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.  Why, you ask, well let me share that with you...

  • Signed up two more members -- two mini Hulkies -- and their friend who tagged along may also join.
  • Scored a free couch for the front foyer of our club, to be picked up at the end of February.
  • One of my Hulkies who I've been pushing extra hard in crossfit and had discussed with her a food plan, had her weigh-in and absolutely killed it!!! She went from 26.1% body fat to 19.9% in just one month, taking her out of the average category to that of the athletic body fat group.
  • A much favoured snack of mine that many Hulkies keep on asking me to cook officially became the newest item on our juice bar menu -- the Open Face Sandwich.  Sold four today!
  • Got a response email from Adidas.  Not only are they in with helping us but they're ALL in, as in Adidas France, Adidas Korea and Adidas Hong Kong.  I had emailed them the other day, telling them about our ring situation and us sponsoring the Nigerian team.  Today they told me that not only are they going to discuss what they can do to help us out with getting us a new ring but they will also be sending us club free boxing equipment.  I tell you, if I wasn't already in love with Adidas than I am most definitely now.  Adidas has never let me down.
  • My work day ended with watching some Hulkies participate in a very entertaining and super impressive competitive game of pool to see who would win Hulk's boxing gloves.
