It was great to hear that the workers had arrived but it wasn't until they unpacked the first corner pole that the excitement really hit Snickers and I. A lot of effort went into our first ring's poles -- we designed them and friends painted them -- but these poles looked flawless!
At first, the ring just looked like a big pile of metal, padding and wood.
But slowly and surely it started to take shape.
And the shape it was taking was definitely HUGE!
Only in Korea would a hired worker ask for rice wine when I ask them if they wanted something to drink and only in Korea would I actually go and buy it for them...hahaha.
Working alongside the workers was more of an educational thing than anything. They didn't really talk much but we definitely picked up some pointers on how to keep the ring strong.
Here's us taking a much needed break... a couple cuddle break.
One of my jobs was to peel off the sticker part of the padding for the metal frame and then secure them to the frame. I think I must have stuck about three zillion, trillion pieces of padding to the frame. OK, so maybe not three zillion, trillion, maybe it was more like three hundred.

And guess who got to crawl under the metal ring frame to make sure the holding bars were secure?! Yuppers.
Snickers got to do some of the harder jobs like putting all his body weight onto the drill so it'd drill into the metal and battling with the thick hose so it'd go straight for the cabling.
Granny Kim came in from out of town to check out our new boxing club.
I think perhaps Granny Kim is really the only in-law I feel I connected to, like she is really family to me.
She just gets me and she's all smiles when we're together. Granny Kim is the bestest of best!

Granny Kim watched our workers, making sure they didn't cut corners.
Our main sponsor Wow also showed up. Wow always shows up.
We see Wow almost every single day of the work, sometimes two or three times a day too... well, that's if we're not already spending the whole day with him. Wow is wow though, and we're so blessed to have an amazing sponsor like him.
After eight and a half hours, we called it a day with work.
The workers packed up and left, our visitors left, and Snickers and I sat down to take it all in.
Then, of course, we jumped into the ring to test it out a bit.
Snickers is definitely pumped for the next Sparring Day.
And I end this posting with this picture, Snickers picking me up and swinging me around.
He was so excited about our new ring, we both were. It's awesome and we love it already so much!!!
