As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Three Pictures that Captured the Greatness of Today

Picture #1: Snickers and I posing with our sponsorship wall.
Today the printers called us and today us our sponsorship wall was ready so we flew over and got it.
Honestly, it felt so great to see all the names up on the wall and I felt so proud pointing out who is who to those of our members who came in today and questioned about them.
Picture #2:  My two much-loved mini Hulkie assistants.
These two mini Hulkies are the only Hulkies at our club who have access to all parts of our club; they are staff.  I pay them in tickles, extra smiles, hugs, snackies, Fun Fridays games, etc, etc.
Just recently the oldest one started middle school and so we bought her a special backpack.
Picture #3:  Snickers making mouth guards for some of the guys who sparred tonight.
This is how I spend my Friday nights.  When I was younger, my Friday nights used to be spent at the clubs, sipping on drinks, surrounded by loud music and cute guys.  Now I'm older and my Friday nights are spent at the club, the boxing club.  My drinks are now protein shakes or water spiked with lemon, I get to pick the music but it's still loud, and as for the guys, they're ultra cute.
