As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thumbs Up for a Great Run and Great Coffee

Sure, we're all smiles and thumbs up before the run, but what about after?!
Knowing that this run would be shorter than last week's long run, well, it definitely proved just how much of a mental game this training is.
The proof was in the numbers.  We only ran 18.02km, 10km shorter than last week, but we killed our pacing and set a new PR with it.  We ran faster in today's 18km than we usually do in our shorter 9.6km runs!!!
Our post long run shot... still sporting the thumbs up!
Checked out the newest addition to our street block -- Uncle's Coffee.
I sat in their window seat while I waited for them to make my coffee and it felt kind of funny to be sitting there looking out at my boxing club.
Cheers to Uncle's Coffee, brewing the cheapest fresh coffee around that's not only super delish but served to you by two Korean cuties.  Can't beat that!
