As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Simple Day Date... Sunday, April 5

Now I'm a big fan of raining weather, don't get me wrong, but rainy weather definitely wasn't expected for today nor wanted.  It killed our plans, our backup plans and our backup plan's plans.

1st plan:  Go camping
FAILED BECAUSE.... yesterday's couple spat exhausted us, well it's the truth, plus it rained.

2nd plan: Easter church service
FAILED BECAUSE... woke up too late.

3rd plan: Cherry trees in Daejon
FAILED BECAUSE... rain.

4rd plan:  Strawberry festival
FAILED BECAUSE... who likes to pick strawberries in the rain?!  Exactly.

Today is Easter and we had big plans to celebrate it with a special date.  We even wanted to go so far as attend a special Easter church service but that didn't happen on account that we woke up too late. There were three church service possibilities we were going to pick upon waking up -- two were English services and one was in Korean.  So much for picking though, we woke up at 11am and the services had already started.

Snickers are huge fans of the rain though so we decided to stick to cuddling at a coffee shop and then doing a lot of countryside driving.  We ended our day date together with dinner out at one of my favourite restaurants that's super cheap but super delish.
