As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Friday Night at the Club, the Club of Hard Knocks

It was Sparring Day at Hulk's so it meant that tonight's entertainment came in the form of beefy men and buff boys stepping in the ring to spar with Snickers.
It's always interesting to note who has the confidence to step into the ring with him and it's just as interesting to note how their confidence with sparring is increasing as well as their skills, very cool.
One of my favourite boxers to watch sparring is an older member of ours.
He's a very handsome gentleman with his three piece suits but in the ring, this little guy is fierce!
I always love it when a mini Hulkie steps in the ring.
And then there are the usual tough opponents, like Kato, who always brings some hard hits
and certainly makes Snickers work for his money!
