As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Expanding My Horizons

Today I headed out to church and I got all dolled up for it.
Back in Canada, church was always where you wore your best and, despite me wanting to settle for some pants, at the back of my mind I knew my mom would be frowning up in Heaven if she saw me wearing anything less than a dress or a skirt.
After church Snickers and I headed out to a new hot spot we found across town.
I introduced him to a new favourite snack shop of mine and he paired it with a coffee.
It was just us and an overdose of caffeine and beautiful weather.
I got a kick out of this, me spending my morning in church and then my late evening in the tattoo artist's shop.  Tattooing is illegal in Korea but I've got some sweet hook-ups.
Discussed with the artist the direction I want him to go with the unfinished tattoo that is currently on my back.  It's of a cherry blossom tree but it's needing a lot of extra work.  The extra work to finish it plus how I want him to expand upon it means I'll be requiring about six hours of work to be done on me.
