As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Day Mapped Out by My Heart Beat... Sunday, May 10

I apparently am obsessed with my new FitBit Charger HR, or so Snickers says I am.  But can you really blame me?!  It's so very high up there on the cool rating in my life.

I am particularly in love with the heart rate function and how it reads and records it.  I'm always checking it when I'm training, to see if I'm in the fat burning category, but today I found myself checking it throughout the day.  I can map my entire day via the heart rate reading.

#1 -- Woke up to Balboa barking, then fell asleep.

#2 -- Near death experience with Pyen Chi, a 47kg four-legged girl, sitting down on my chest when I was sleeping.

#3 -- Feel back asleep and then woke up to get ready for church.

#4 -- Rushed to church and arrived only to find out that my go-to girl to sit with was home sick. Then I looked in the little door window and saw people in jeans.   I was wearing a spaghetti strap black dress; I had overdressed.  And just as I was about to bolt it out of there, someone had spotted me.  It was too late to turn around and leave.  I then found a seat by myself.  I felt half naked and as if I was the elephant in the room!

#5 -- After church Snickers was late picking me up so I sweated it out in the sun and got impatient, hence my heart rate going up and down.  He'd text me, I'd wait, and then he didn't show so than I'd call him.  This cycle continued a few times until he showed up.

#6 -- Had some sweet couple time with Snickers, a hot cappuccino with an extra shot, an egg fish bread, and a beautiful lake in front of us.  We had headed out to Ssangyoung-dong, laid out a blanket, and sat there just chatting away.

#7 -- Returned home and... did something couples do.  We spooned, ya, that's what we did... wink, wink.

#8 -- After having just arrived at Mama Kim's birthday dinner, one of Snickers' sisters made a joke about me text messaging her for help on the day of our "big fight", Wednesday.  Of course, you know me, I snapped and said an overly sarcastic comment.  I won't repeat here what I said, I knew it was uncalled for and out of line as I said it but you better believe I wasn't going to let them make our couple fight a joke at the table nor was I going to allow it to become the topic of discussion during our meal.

#9 -- Left the restaurant and went on a little drive with Snickers.

#10 -- Headed out to a tattoo artist's shop where he took pictures of my back and we discussed what work I wanted done on it.  I want to finally get my back tattoo completed but am also interested in expanding it and adding an additional tattoo.
