As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

No Film Day Friday... Friday, May 1

Welcome to the first day of May which in my world also happened to be my first day off of filming since we started.  KBS gave me a portable video cam for me to use that's really quite cool but it's coolness wasn't up to par with my sickness of cameras right now so I didn't use it. They also equipped me with another camera, a much more heavy duty one, but again my sickness of cameras and craving to be out of the spotlight took over.  Snickers ended up filming a bit of me training during my Crossfit Challenger class but that was about it.

Filming has been good and I can't complain.  It's a great experience and I'm honoured they think my life is "TV-worthy" but I am beginning to think this must be what it's like to have kids.  They aren't just here when I wake up, they are why I wake up.  The body mic I wear means they take in all I say and the 2 cameramen and extra few cameras mean they also take in all I do.  The bathroom is the only place I can escape them so I find I go to the bathroom a lot but then I have to remember to cover my mic.  They might discover my little secret...hahaha.  And any kind of "private time" with my husband or even so much as play time with my four-legged has to be somewhat scheduled or given notice to the crew.

Given that there was no camera crew and no cameras, with the exception the "optional use" ones they left me, I got to catch up on all my computer work, the bank book, the May calendar, the May newsletter, and I also got to work on my translations for the Team Thundra running schedule and profile.  It felt good to be given this time and space to do so but it meant I was super busy trying to juggle it all plus get in my training and then plan and teach the Crossfit Challenger class.  Ironically enough, my relief from having to juggle all this work jammed into today's work day came with me participating in the very Crossfit Challenger class I was hosting.
