As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

On the Set of "Neighbor Charles"

Here's a picture of me cramming in my lines as Snickers races us off to Seoul.
Eighteen pages of Korean-only lines and it was my first run through... no pressure.
We arrived at the KBS studio and the road was lined with their buses, security, workers, and cameras.
Check out their studio, it's a massive suitcase.  How cool is that? Very cool!
With the KBS audience being a very conservative one, my hot pink tank top almost landed me in hot water.  One of the crew members snapped this picture of me and sent it off to their head office, to get approval while Snickers had to put on a long sleeve shirt in the blazing heat so that his tattoo was covered.
I had a good giggle over the fact that Snickers was called to get his make-up done.
"Now you know why I hate wearing make-up too", I told him... hahaha.
I ended up getting make-up put on my make-up, as in the make-up I did at home, and my hair was turned into a kind of helmet with the gel and hairspray they put into it.  All for the camera though so I didn't mind but Snickers definitely didn't like wearing the make-up.
Going over the script one more time.
The KBS crew was quite large and intense and one of the perks of it all was meeting some of the celebrities it has on its show.  My Korean friends are going to love this picture.  I regret not getting any pictures with the other talk show hosts with work with today.  They were so fun and so sweet to work with.
Here's a glimpse of just some of the many cameras on us during the talk show.
Note here another regret, I didn't take a picture of the actual talk show set, partly because I was sitting in it and it was small but also because I was just way too distracted with getting my lines right.
The biggest camera of them all, used solely to catch us as we walked into the studio upon introduction.
After the main talk show part of today's filming, Snickers and I then headed over to one of the media rooms in the neighbouring building for a kind of after-the-show follow-up interview.  There they asked us more detailed questions in a more private setting.  Both Snickers and I weren't allowed to sit in each others interview until the last couple of questions.
When all was said and done, we then headed out to dinner with one of the KBS crew members, Jin.  Her specialty is actually in travel documentaries but she was asked to help out with this particular human documentary and I'm glad she accepted it.  Now we have a new friend.
We had arrived in Seoul at 11am for KBS and it was well into the evening when we all parted ways.
Just last night Snickers and I had traveled here for some shopping and tonight we decided to just stroll around the streets and enjoy another evening out in Seoul.
