As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

One Long, Long Thursday... Thursday, May 15

By the time you read this I will have spent a full day sporting some silly tan lines from running in the sun, I will have finished day one and be on day two of my creatine/glutemine loading phase, will have agreed to spar with a fellow female boxer from Seoul next week, passed the responsibility of coaching the Crossfit Challenger class to Snickers, and I will have probably already shaved half my head too.  Oh and I will have told Team Nigeria that we are a no-go for the plans we've been trying for months to make happen.

You of course are reading this Thursday entry after my Thursday has already finished and Friday has started.  All the above happened on my Thursday and this posting will get posted right before I head out to the hair shop, Friday morning.

And no, if you think you read wrong, I did write that I am shaving half my head.  I'm getting scratches (designs) put into the sides too.  Not too sure on what scratches exactly but I'm confident with letting my hair dresser friend use her creativity.  I doubt she'll get too wild though.  She had a hard enough time digesting the fact that I called to see about her shaving half my head.

I fell asleep last night at 2:10am and woke up today at 7:58am because I had a Team Thundra run.  Usually it's Miss Marvel that does the Thursday run but she's off in Japan this week so both Rocket and I have taken on her runs while she is away.  Today's run was scheduled for 8am but in the two minutes I had to get up and get ready, I managed to pull it off.  No one came to today's run though so I got my breakfast, made some coffee, and then went back into my bedroom to ease into the day.  I knew I should had gone running instead of switching to chillax mode but with a bed full of four-legged babies and my half-naked man all cuddled up next to them, the temptation was at an all time high.  I did manage to get out for a run though but I regretted waiting till 11:30am to do so the minute I stepped out of the club.

I don't know whether it was Mother Nature or my own stupidity with procrastinating but getting in a 9.6km run in the high mid day sun wasn't fun.  It seriously kicked my butt and I've got the silly tans lines to prove it -- the capped sleeve lines on my shoulders, the FitBit band line on my wrist, and the 3/4 length pant line on my calves.  The capped sleeve is pretty bad but it ties for first with the triangle in my elbow crease line where no sun hit because of my arms being bent while running.

Thursday's FitBit report:
I started my day with only 5hrs 32mins of sleep, 6 restless moments during it.
My day started at 7:58am and ended with me crashing at exactly 2:22am.
I took a total of 24,233 steps, which was equivilant to 17.55km.

I had 121 active minutes, which works out to 4hrs and 41mins.
My training burned 1,217 calories.
I drank a total of 16 cups of water.
I burned a total of 2,699 calories today.
