As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Midnight Stroll in the Dark

With my in-your-face bright training pants on, I headed out for a midnight walk with the intention of walking off the stress I received via an email.
Reason 101 why I love Korea: Because I feel super safe.
Even with my body-hugging training clothes on, it being after midnight and thus not many people being around, and the fact that some parts of my walk tonight were super dark [see the above pic], I don't feel nervous or scared.  I feel safe.
Can you see my shadow?  Just barely.
Headed over to Dankook for a walk around the lake.
I'm used to running this path but every once in awhile I'll walk it, just to enjoy it's beauty as supposed to hoping I get from point A to point B fast.
The bridge is particularly really pretty at night, all lit up as such.
