As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A New Week and Some New Lives Start

Despite Pyen Chi having started contractions, it was business as usual which because it was a Monday meant it was full speed busy business today.  But nothing quite kicks off a fresh new week like a supplier making an unexpected visit and leaving us with some free samples.
I scored an awesome new head gear.  No more frustrating sparring sessions with my tiny Polish head swimming around in massive head gear.  This one fits like a glove!
Scored another super sweet surprise, the next series to Grey's Anatomy, thanks to a particular Hulkie that seems to get great kicks out of feeding my Grey's Anatomy addiction... hahaha
...and a birthday cake!!!!!!!!!!
Finding a place that sells a custom cake that's large and that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg has been next to impossible so we've decided to go with a few smaller cakes.  Today a cake showed up at the club.  One of our Hulkies decided to treat us to a birthday cake.  How awesome are they?! Ya, very!!!
Some how in between business meetings and juggling members' training, Snickers and I got in a solid upper body workout together.

...then the four-legged babies started arriving!!!
First on the scene was this little cutie... a boy!
All our Hulkies knew that Pyen Chi was pregnant and so we couldn't help but share in the excitement of the arrival of her first baby so out the bedroom we flew with the first little one in hand, wanting to show everyone.  They all smiled large, gave a long "awwwww", and then back into the bedroom this one went.
Pyen Chi's babies definitely didn't come easy and both Snickers and I had to help her.
Her third baby was definitely a miracle baby and Snickers helped to bring her out of Pyen Chi.
She arrived lifeless and all our efforts seemed to not matter.
Here is Snickers doing mouth-to-mouth.
She made it... she's alive!!!  Snickers had saved her and as she opened her mouth to loudly cry, it was such a heroic moment.   Now her continual crying on the other hand, not so fun, but none the less we were super happy to see she had survived.
By the time the club had closed for the day, Pyen Chi had given birth to her pups.
She had seven pups in total but sadly the sixth one didn't make it... a little baby girl.
Then, long after the others had been delivered, another one came at 12:33am.
It was now officially Hulk's Boxing Club's birthday and this little one now shared the same birthday.
It had been an extra long day but long after the club doors had closed we still had work to do.  Now it was time to wash down the bedroom where the babies had been delivered and consequently the blood had been shed.  Pyen Chi was exhausted and you can totally tell in this picture but what a trooper.  She didn't go to sleep until after we cleaned and after all her babies had gone to bed.
