As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

On December 26th, 2012 Coach Young Bin and myself made it publicaly known that we were going to take the big plunge and start our own boxing club here in Cheonan. Our mission with creating Hulk’s Boxing was to provide a positive place for the community to not only train in but also be a part of via social outings and the fun, silly atmosphere at the club. We wanted members to feel connected, like we are an extended family – the Hulk family. In starting Hulk’s though, we definitely didn’t have the money but we had the drive and the passion. Three months later we held a soft opening for friends and then we hosted a grand opening on June 2nd, 2013. Two years later and we’re going stronger than ever. Hulk’s is a dream turned reality for both Coach Young Bin and I and it’s meant a lot of blood, sweat and tears on our behalf, more than you can ever imagine, but I am ever so happy, have no regrets, and am ever so grateful to all of you who have helped and shared in our dream come true. Hulk’s is what it is because of the continual support and encouragement from friends, family, members, sponsors, and the local community so thank you! We’re not done improving and growing Hulk’s though and everyday we’re striving to become better than yesterday, just like our club motto states.

A warm, heart-felt thank you to everyone who came out tonight to celebrate our boxing club's second year birthday. We ate cake, enjoyed lots of snackies, picked lots of winners for our draw prizes, and even got to see us all in the KBS documentary, Neighbour Charles. Thanks for a great birthday party. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
