As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Fabulocity of This Week's Friday Night

Now THIS is what's going to make leaving Korea so incredibly hard to leave -- good friends trying to meet up with me to say their goodbyes.
Met up with other friends downtown and off we headed to listen to some live music.
And who should be playing but one of my friends from church... nice!

In between listening to some great music and sharing some giggles, I also go lots of hugs and smiles from friends... one in particular.
He's busting a move... love it.
I can't remember the last time I've actually ate Korean street food or hung out with this many friends so late in Korea... I really need to do this more.
One of my now-favourite Korean street dishes.
I used to cringe at this but have since developed a love for it... I blame it on the salt.
I don't even own salt so it's become like a special treat to me.
After returning from downtown, I headed over to my friend's bar to see some people.
As soon as I walked I heard someone say my name.  I turned and there was one of my friends, Pete.  I really missed our long late night chats so tonight was had an extra long one and it lasted with him walking me back to Hulk's after 4am.
