I woke up today to an email from an elementary school friend of mine who was notoriously known for his amazingly detailed drawings and distraction with them. He was so talented. I met up with him when I recently visited Canada and was proud to note that he's kept up with his drawings and now makes money doing them as comic author and graphic designer. In his message to me he noted that he has followed me on Facebook and wants to do a documentary/biography graphic novel on me -- my boxing career/life story. I was so incredibly flattered so OF COURSE I accepted his offer. It'd be an awesome honour, such a privilege.
Sooo... I'M GETTING MY OWN COMIC BOOK!!!
Honestly, to say it out loud was very cool but to write it here on my homepage, so very cool. I'm super curious to see what I look like from his point of view and what parts of my life and boxing career he chooses to include in the book.
After getting such kicka$$ news like that, I just had to break out into my happy dance.
[Enter me doing some strange and deranged, borderline not-appropriate dance moves here.]
