As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Family BBQ at my Uncle's Place is PACKED with Beres!!!

This is my cousin... isn't see just so pretty?!  Yuppers.
The last time I saw this little lady we were on my side of the globe, Korea.  She and her newly wed hubby were on their honeymoon, traveling around Asia, when they had a stopover in Korea.  We picked them up at Incheon Airport and gave them a brief tour of Korea.
Here is her hubby.  They're no longer newly weds but now proud parents.
[oops on the baby being out of the picture for here... hahaha.  Not intended but amusing considering.]
Here is my "honorary uncle", Uncle Mike.  He wore a name tag so we'd all remember his name.  He's actually my Uncle Albert's neighbor but with his sweet smile and cheesy charm you'd never know he's not a full fledge Bere by birth.
Viola, the reason why I've kicked my butt with jumping right into training after still dealing with jet lag.  A notorious Bere BBQ burger... delish!!!
Much thanks to the manly Bere men who cooked up all the bad boy burgers... and to the silly men who amused us while they cooked.
...and the adorable men who snuck in some hugs while my tummy crumbled.
This is my cousin.  He's much younger than me but so much cuter than me.
And viola some of the ladies in my Bere family -- they're so pretty!!!
The place was buzzing with Beres, it was awesome.  We had lawn chairs, a few patio sets, and even a massive tent on the lawn.  I'm guessing there were over 50 of us there.
...and the food, there was a ton of that too.
Here's my Papa Bere trying shrimp for the first time.  He liked it, I think, but had us all in stitches when he went to go dip it in the bowl for more sauce and someone yelled out "no double dipping"... too funny!
A private beach, a lakeside home, and a lawn full of Bere's on a beautiful Saturday.
This is the life.
