As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Not Sure if I Want to Cross... Tuesday, September 29

Got approached today by one of the managers at system regarding group classes.  They're wanting to change one of their classes into a boxing class with me as their coach.  It'd be a classes offered twice a week at 6pm.  Conveniently enough, the two days they've picked happen to be the lightest of my training days and the time, well, I'm almost always at System at 5pm so it'd be perfect.  I could get in my workout and then train them.

But do I want to cross that line and make System a place I work at?

I already am familiar with most of their staff, have a ton of their crew on my Facebook.  I even have the part timer high school kid who used to act as a cleaner on my Facebook.  I've been at System for about 14 years so I know the facility and I know so many members who are still there training.  But do I really want to become a worker there?  I need the money and it'd be awesome to help build my resume but right now it's my go to place where I just beat the bag and pump iron with the big boys and fierce females.

I think I'll tell them a somewhat ridiculous paying price for my class, to discourage them from hiring me and to make it actually worth me crossing over because right now I love just being a member there.
