As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

An Early Morning and Late Night

I love being the first person at the club for training, partly because I get to pick the music.
The Stick posing with me for a picture and then him in his natural state.
He's definitely one tough Polack when it comes to boxing but he's a mix of sour and sweet when he's not coaching, hence the difference in pics.
Today one of my first boxfit boxers participated in my class and then told me he's leaving Canada.  I don't know why anyone would want to leave this fabulous country but then again he's not from here.  He's from Chile.  I must admit, it felt weird to have to say goodbye to him.  I felt like I was in Korea all over again, saying goodbye to a foreign member.  Foreigners are always leaving Korea so goodbyes are an expected thing but this is Canada.  I didn't think I'd ever have to say goodbye to anyone.
Capped the night off with some live hockey.
