I am apparently the queen of scoring random free stuff and crazy discounts lately and the proof was in the stack of free tuna I got today at the boxing club. Clover Leaf came to do a promo event so they were serving our boxers some post training snacks -- "tuna toppers". It's basically tuna mixed with cut veggies and spices that you put over top of pasta or rice. You could also add them to a wrap or sandwich too. It's basically a lazy man's easy tuna meal. Of course I wanted to try them all so of course I did but when I gave an overly exaggerated reaction the delish awesomeness of them the two Clover Leaf reps asked to take my picture. Me allowing them to take my picture was rewarded with basically as much tuna as my two little Polish hands could possibly handle. My hands handled 9 containers.
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
