As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Poles are Invading My Life... Nice

"Push It" by Salt N' Peppa WAS what I was blasting at the club when I geared up for early morning training... that is until The Stick showed up and changed it to Latino music.
He may be cute but don't kid yourself, when you gear up for boxing this dude is going to be rough and tough.  He'll tell you how it is regardless of how brutally blunt he says it.
After boxing I went home and then returned later for my afternoon Boxfit class.
Media was at the club because Canada's future prime minister, Mr. Trudeau, was training.  Coach Brown introduced me to the Globe and Mail reporter so I think I might get a shout-out from them in their article, very cool.
I tried to snap a picture of his entire entourage -- the security, photographer and reporter.  There was a total of six of them that came in together.
The Polish Princess and I met up tonight.  I had brought new handwraps for her from Hulk's and in her excitement she asked me to teach her there and then how to properly wrap her hands.  So that's what we did, practiced wrapping her hands.
And ohhhhhhhh, this shirt.  We can't even talk about this shirt... hahaha.
Funny thing is, I am Polish Canadian but I've never had so many Polacks in my life like I do now.  At Paul Brown Boxfit, there is The Stick who is Polish, another trainer is Polish, and I work/train another Pole.  Then at System I've got the Polish Princess, which brings my dose of Polish power up to four and I see at least 3 of them a day.
