As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Loaded Up on Good Eats Today... Tuesday, September 15

Nothing like a 4am text message to warn you on how the day is going to start -- intense and hard.

Tuesdays are usually a lighter day for me at the boxing club in regards to my training.  I coach a Boxfit class at 7am and then I do my own training at 8:30am. Coach Brown trains me 3 times a week and it's super intense and then on Thursday I do ring work with another female member as a part of my training.  However, considering I didn't train with Coach Brown yesterday, he trained me today.  It was intense, to say the very least.

My reward for today's training, breakfast out at my favourite greasy spoon.  Yes, I will work and I will train for food.  I'm kind of like a dog in that I am very food driven.  Being treated out to a breakfast out with my coach was super sweet but then I had only a couple of hours till I was to have lunch with my boy J.  So with a tummy full of delish breakfast food I then walked around till I had to meet up with him.

Went light with that meal and ordered only the bestest of the best chicken salads.  I am by no means a salad kind of girl but dang, that salad had it going on.  I offered some to J but don't kid yourself, if he had wanted more than a simple fork worth then I would have fought him off.  It had strawberries, walnuts, mixed greens...things in it that I didn't even know what they were beyond just adding to the fabulocity of it all.  Pure delish.  Definitely worth it so I tipped the waiter a generous amount for his recommendations.  I had jokingly threaten the waiter actually, warning him that if his recommendations was bonkers than so would his tip.  Salad was crazy awesome and, consequently, so was his tip.

So I ate my post training meal out with my coach, lunch with my boy J, and then later after weight training at System I enjoyed another post training meal out with another friend.  Let's call this friend Cacao Dark.  Buddy boy had me walking all around Toronto, starting from System in Bloor West Village to China Town and then back to the ghetto of Lansdowne.  I put on 35,823 steps onto my Fitbit and I'm pretty sure more than half of these steps were due to him.  Anyways, we ended up getting chicken shwarma for dinner so it was well worth the walk.

Side note...Chicken shwarma and jerk chicken, as if chicken wasn't awesome enough.
