As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Toronto IS the Greatest, Don't Kid Yourself

Notice the time, 4:38am.  As early as it was it wasn't so early when you consider I have to wake up on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30am.  I coach the morning Boxfit class at 7am but always try to be there at least by 6:30am to set things up and ease into my day.
Hard training today was rewarded with breakfast out... Coach Horse on Yonge Street.
I love this place.  It's so cozy and now I'm a familiar face to them.  Super sweet staff.
Super sweet omelet too.  It's got so many veggies in it that they've resorted to serving some of them on the side.... hahaha.
Only a good friend like my boy J would allow me to show up for lunch after two hours of sweating it out at boxing.  What a nice guy... he's fabulous.
Ended up in Little Jamaica after lunch with instructions to get my hair done for tomorrow's shoot.
Cornrolls done.  I must admit that I instantly went shy when they finished them.  People reach a lot differently to me with them and boy did those boys in Little Jamaica react to me.  It was too funny but a bit too much for this little Polack.
From a downtown greasy spoon diner to Little Jamaica for my hair and then a ghetto bubble tea stand in China Town, I felt like I stepped in and out of a lot of countries without even leaving the city.  Got to love Toronto for its diversity!!!
