As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Should Have Got the New Head Gear!

So this is what happened yesterday actually.  I walked out of PPB and who should I run into but my Mauy Thai buddy from System, Double J.  I had just finished boxing and he was heading downtown, so we walked a bit and checked out a few shops.
I should have bought this, a new head gear.  I need one that fits me better and this one fits me as snug as a bug in a rug. Should have, could have and would have... but didn't.
...instead I purchased a package of this pure evil -- white chocolate Reese Peanut Butter Cups.  It was a first time I had ever seen them.  I didn't even know they existed.
Then today I had sparring.  I put on my regular head gear, laced up my boots, wrapped my hands, popped in my mouth piece and then stepped into the ring with Queen Spar.
I took a beating, I gave a beating, but the high from going 12 rounds and pushing each other with such focus and intensity always leaves us super happy...hence my picking her up and the massive smiles on our face.
Look at that, she punched me so hard I almost lost my top...hahaha.
Best sparring partner e-v-e-r!!!
