As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Walked Out into Happiness... Tuesday, October 27

Walked out of the boxing club and instantly spotted one fine, super sweet, super nice friend of mine -- Big Foot!!! I spotted him, threw open my arms, ran to him, and jumped on him before he could even realize what the heck was happening or who I was.  I still very much feel like a tourist when I run into friends and people I know here in Canada but it feels so awesome.

I had just had a serious conversation with Coach Brown, told him I couldn't box today because I had to deal with sponsors, and then I left the club.  I didn't box yesterday, I didn't today, and I might not box for the rest of the week.  With a week left to hold my breath about an opponent for my December fight and not only sponsors but also the book crew and friends wanting to know the dets, it's coming down to crunch time.  I'm feeling the pinch and sporting the frustration and agitation of it all.

An unexpected dose of awesomeness via running into my friend was just what the doctor would have prescribed...that's if I actually had my health card already and was able to see a doctor without it costing me an arm and a leg.  Still waiting on that.

Scored a second dose of awesomeness today -- lunch with my boy J.
